Decision with impact
In 2022, Hringekjan took an important step towards sustainable consumption by removing all SHEIN products from sale. This was done in light of information about harmful substances in the brand's clothing, which goes against Hringekjan's policy of sustainability and responsible consumption.
The media subsequently took over and covered the issue in detail, “ Stop selling clothes from Chinese fashion giant Shein due to toxins .” Other cycle stores, such as the Red Cross, followed the example of the Circle, see “ The Red Cross excludes clothes from SHEIN from stores .”
Awareness raising in consumer behavior
This decision is part of a larger awareness campaign at Hringekjan, where the goal is to encourage consumers to consider the origin and impact of their purchases on both the environment and society.
Ongoing education and behavior change
Hringekjan is committed to continuing to educate and encourage behavioral change in consumer habits, in the hope of contributing to a more sustainable future. More information on this issue and the decision can be found in the article " SHEIN does not belong in the circular economy " here on Hringekjan's website.
