Last summer, the couple Davíð Örn Jóhannsson and Jana Maren Óskarsdóttir realized that there was a need for a store of this type in the city center and opened the doors of Hringekjan in Þórunnartún last January.
"We designed the store environment with the goal of maximizing the flow of the store and the clothing. We also wanted to improve customer service and save them the hassle, so we offer a warehouse space where we store products for our customers and fill their stands as needed," says Davíð.

How is the market implemented?
Individuals can book a space with us for 7 to 28 days and sell their clothing and accessories with us. We provide price tags and anti-theft labels that customers are responsible for placing on their products, but they can bring up to 60 garments at a time.
What products are for sale?
Clothing and accessories for adults. The product range is very diverse, from pants, dresses, coats and shoes to sportswear and branded goods for all ages and genders, whether they are recent products or "vintage."
"In the first three months, we have transferred 5090 items into new hands"
"We had a real explosion in February, with the number of shares sold increasing by 50 percent month-on-month, despite January having exceeded our wildest expectations. In the first three months, we have sold 5,090 shares," says Davíð.
