Sindri Snær Rögnvaldsson is a young and talented fashion designer who is passionate about sustainability. He transforms old garments and fabric scraps into unique garments with a lot of personality.
Sindri has been selling his work at Hringekjan since February 2023. He graduated with a matriculation examination from the Reykjavík School of Fine Arts in the spring of 2024 and plans to further his studies in fashion design abroad. His work reflects his belief in repurposing and creating unique pieces from what others see as waste.
The works that Sindri created in collaboration with Hringekjan and the Hringe after the Ring project are inspired by the 70s/80s punk scene and were shown at a fashion show at KEX hostel in April 2023 to great reception.
Jón Sæmundur has taken on the task of illustrating leather jackets that we have collected, and each jacket is unique.
seamSTRESS is the slow fashion project of seamstress Isabelle Bailey. She focuses on designing and sewing clothing from used textiles that would otherwise end up in landfills.
