BORBALA - New Product Line in the Ring Road

We at Hringekjan are constantly exploring all aspects of eco-friendly fashion and are incredibly excited to be able to offer a fierce product line from BORBALA that we hope will inspire Icelandic fashion and design.

Upcycle is a Budapest-based fashion designer who focuses on creating high-fashion products from recycled textiles and plastic. The products are all unique and made from the raw materials available at any given time, including waste plastic, leftover materials, and used clothing.


Used clothing is transformed through a combination of traditional and DIY techniques such as patchwork or textile collage. The designs are an impulsive and colorful play on the concepts of old and new, trash and value, traditional and progressive.


BORBALA has received numerous awards for her designs, including a nomination for the Elle Style Awards 2020 - Best designer, and has appeared on the pages of fashion publications such as Vogue Italy and Poland, Glamour Hungary, and so on.
